Event Information for COOK TEAMS:
• A benefit to help the Ken Crowson family with expenses related to Ken’s battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer
• Entry Fee: NONE
• Categories of Competition – Boston Butts & Chicken Wings
• Required to Cook: Two (2) Boston Butts & Thirty (30) Chicken Wings
• Turn-In Time for Chicken Wings: 1:00pm
• Turn-In Time for Boston Butts: 2:00pm
• ALL types of smokers WILL be allowed (Electicity not guaranteed. Quiet generators allowed.)
• Pre-Prep of meat IS allowed (no pre-inspections or restrictions)
• “Booth” sizes are 10ft. x 10ft.
• Event will open to the public at 11:00am
• Live music will be provided from 11am-2pm, 3pm-6pm and 7pm-10pm
• Prize Money: $75.00 for 1st place in each category and $25.00 for 2nd place in each category
• Trophies will be presented to 1st and 2nd place teams in each category
• Parking lot space is limited so, PLEASE register your team as early as possible to guarantee your ability to participate.
***No alcoholic beverages should be brought to the event. All alcohol must be purchased from Truly Cigars
Event Information for the PUBLIC:
• A benefit to help the Ken Crowson family with expenses related to Ken’s battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer
• Event begins at 11:00am.
• Live music will be provided from 11am-2pm, 3pm-6pm and 7pm-10pm
• Truly cigars will provide sports broadcasts on multiple screens.
• Outdoor Beer and liquor sales will be provided by Truly Cigars. (***No alcoholic beverages should be brought to the event. All alcohol must be purchased from Truly Cigars)
• BBQ Plates will be served to the public for donations of $10.00 each and will include BBQ Pork, Baked Beans, Potato Salad and Slaw. Volunteers will begin serving plates to the public at 12:00pm and will continue serving until all food is gone.
• Bulk pre-ordering of plates for area businesses and organizations (Delivery available within a 5 mile radius for pre-orders of 4-9 plates…delivery available within a 15 mile radius for orders of 10 or more plates.) Deadline for pre-orders is Saturday 9/9/17. Pre-order forms are available for download at the “Crowson Cancer Cook-Off” page.
