Green Oaks Inn has been a pioneer in the assisted living industry in the state of Alabama since its establishment in 1984 and continues to serve as a model for others who offer this type of housing for the elderly. We are a Memory Care Assisted Living Facility that specializes in the unique needs of senior adults with Alzheimer’s and/or other dementia-related disorders. We are located in a beautiful, quiet, rural setting and we provide care in our two adjacent communities that are each home to 16 residents. When considering the special needs of a loved one, it is important to seek an Assisted Living Facility that maintains full compliance with the standards established by the Alabama Department of Public Health. We are the only Specialty Care Assisted Living Facility in Lauderdale County that is licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health and we have maintained compliance with their regulations since our inception. We consistently strive to provide a nurturing environment that feels safe and familiar, empowering, and fulfilling to our residents. We support independence through a lifestyle designed specifically for our residents’ unique abilities, needs, and requests. Most of all, we encourage our residents to connect with the people that love them – their families and their extended family here at Green Oaks. Specialty Care Assisted Living provides for the safety and security of those residents whose cognitive impairment requires that they receive attention and supervision beyond what is needed in the traditional Assisted Living community. The Green Oaks Inn Creel House and Green Oaks Inn Pepper House are the only licensed SCALF facilities in Lauderdale County. Our services and amenities for every resident include:

•Homelike environment
•Management on site 7 days a week
•Round the Clock Care that is centered around resident needs, provided by a familiar team
•Medication Managed and Administered by Licensed Nurses
•Medical Director providing ongoing consultation to our nursing team
•Individualized Care Plans
•Quiet security with keypad code doors
•Staff/Resident ration of at least 1:8
•Assistance with all activities of daily living
•Home cooked meals and snacks
•Laundry Services
•Housekeeping
•Exercise Instructor with classes provided three days a week
•Full-time Activity Program
•Church and Pastoral services
•Private and Semi Private Rooms
•Partnership with family and friends
•Routine Communication with personal physicians to obtain guidance and instructions
•Partnering with Home Health Agencies when additional therapies are needed

“Caregiving transcends a role; it’s a powerful testament to compassion in action.” -unknown Today at Green Oaks Inn, we honored our exceptional caregivers on National Caregivers Day, celebrating the kindness and dedication that defines their work. We’re deeply grateful for the tireless efforts of our caregivers who make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day. Special thanks to Alesia and Barbara, Remedy Healthcare, and Shane Terry Homes for generously donating door prizes, Ms Rose for the delicious cheese ball, Amanda for her hard work decorating, and to our owner Kurt for the thoughtful gesture of pizza and gifts.
