Many new thing are on the Horizon and they are going to be Awesome! In the mean time, do to the fact that a sweet Doula in the B'Ham area, we are needing a new name gift/gift certificate being offered to the most unique name in the next 72 hours starting now. ;)

Also check out Alabama Birth Coalition! This is a grass roots organization dedicated to educate people about the options currently available for families in the State of Alabama. It is currently illegal to have a homebirth with a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) attending. Families should be have the option to birth where they want and still receive excellent medical care. I encourage everyone to check-out ABC's page and learn more. The Shoals will be having the First Annual Walk for Midwives in October so if you want to help or just learn more check it out!

So true. Ina May Gaskin is such a wonderful source of information for pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding! I hope that I can offer just an inkling of the information I have read in her books to the women I help during their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum time. She is truly an inspiration!
