📚📚📚🎉🎉Congrats to these 3 new AHA instructors who have attended Breath of Life Academy BLS instructor course. I want to first thank them individually for being so patience with me. This year my timing has been different since I lost my mom. They will start to do classes soon next month anticipating. I’m very proud of each and everyone of them. They are truly amazing individuals. I know they will continue to touch lives and teach others the basic needs to save a life and help with injuries they required first aid. If you can please take the time to congratulate them. We all can make a difference and will. #

October is National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month!

At WorldPoint, we are dedicated to raising awareness about SCA, its causes, and the importance of taking action to save lives.

Why is this important?

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people experience SCA outside of a hospital, but only a small percentage survive. By educating ourselves and others, we can increase the odds of survival. CPR and AED use are critical life-saving tools that anyone can learn.

What can you do this month?

💙 Get CPR certified or refresh your training.
💙 Learn how to use an AED—they’re simple and life-saving!
💙 Raise awareness by talking to friends, family, and coworkers about SCA and how they can prepare.
💙 Ensure your local schools, gym, and shopping centers have AEDs or start petitions to ensure that they get them!

Only 1 in 10 people who have cardiac arrests in public receive CPR with an AED. An automated external defibrillator delivers a shock to restart the heart. Anyone can use one; just follow the device’s voice prompts.

Peripheral artery disease, or PAD, is a narrowing of the peripheral arteries that carry blood away from the heart to other parts of the body, such as the legs and feet. Early detection can help prevent serious complications from PAD – including heart attack, stroke, gangrene and amputation – but many people mistake the symptoms for something else, and it is often undiagnosed. If you have cramping, fatigue, aching, pain or discomfort in the leg or hip muscles while walking or climbing stairs, talk to your doctor about PAD.

Rural, African American and American Indian populations are at highest risk for PAD. Work with your community leaders to help raise more awareness of this serious condition.

Breath of Life Academy wants to thank all the support since 2013. As of July 2 2024 these are the new prices for all courses. For ACLS and PALS You will be required to take the pretest the links will be sent when payment is received. You will be required to pay when booking your course. NO EXCEPTIONS! All classes are AHA accreditation and ecards will be provided. I do travel depending on your location additional fees will be added. Instructor courses will start back the end of August beginning of September and during that time I will provided dates for instructor courses until the end of the year. I appreciate all referral, new students and my students I have since 2013.
