To celebrate being in my own office for 3 years, I want to share an amazing story that happened this week. I have heard that EMDR can improve or eliminate chronic pain but have never used it for this. I had a client come in limping and wearing a back brace after struggling through back surgeries and continued pain. We reprocessed the memory of the worst the pain has been and after one round of bilateral stimulation she said she felt the muscles in her back start relaxing. After another round she said her back and shoulders were relaxed and she was tired. One more round and she said she had absolutely no pain. The session ended soon after with us both amazed. She stood up without hesitation and started walking normally with no pain. I asked her to let me know how she did the next day. I waited nervously and patiently until she messaged me. She said she slept all night without pain; did not wear her back brace to work as a teacher and was still feeling the best. I share this first because this still has me amazed; second because I’m excited to see if I can help more people with this and ultimately because I give God the glory because I am only the vessel. I absolutely love EMDR and each of my clients.

Happy New Year! This year has been truly amazing. My favorite thing about my job is watching people grow and change. There’s always hope. The road may be hard at times but fighting through it makes the next chapter that much sweeter. I look forward to working with my current and new clients in 2022!!!
