Good Morning ECM family! Overnight a sink hole formed in the front entrance to the clinic. City trucks are in front of the building blocking the drive so you will have to use the second entrance. A pipe busted as well so we have NO RUNNING WATER which means we have no restroom facilities. If you see this and have an appointment today please make sure you use the restroom before arriving. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully this will be resolved quickly.

HIGH-THC Cannabis Linked to Mental Health Risk

A systematic review in the Annals of the Internal Medicine links high THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) cannabis products to increased risks of cannabis use disorder (CUD) and schizophrenia. The systematic review analyzed 99 studies, finding that products with over 10% THC are associated with psychosis or schizophrenia in 70% of cases and CUD in 75%. High-potency products like shatter and dabs, containing up to 80% THC, are particularly concerning. The study highlights the need for caution, especially for individuals with preexisting psychosis. While some therapeutic benefits for anxiety and depression were noted, the potential for adverse effects remains sugnificant. These findings emphasize the need for healthcare professionals to be aware of the mental health risks associated with high-THC cannabis products. The study was funded by the Colorado General Assembly.
