It was founded by Dominica Stuckey in February 2010 in Baltimore, Maryland. Dominica had originally planned to be an ObGyn, but during her sophomore year at The Johns Hopkins University, she decided that she was more interested in helping people heal emotionally than physically. When Dominica returned to her hometown of Bennettsville, she moved Atlee there in 2013 as a way to fill the need for private practitioners. Atlee strives to provide a safe place for people in the community to work through and heal from traumatic experiences. We also strive to be a source of training/education and support for those helping professionals (healthcare professionals, educators, first responders) who are impacted by witnessing or assisting others involved in traumatic experiences. We accept Medicaid, private insurance and self pay clients.
