After 12 years in downtown Florence, we are closing our Specs Downtown location and relocating patient care & optical services to our locations at 711 Cox Creek Parkway (Florence Eye Center) and 1112 Avalon Avenue in Muscle Shoals (Muscle Shoals Eye Center). We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause for our patients and the downtown community, but with closing of the parking deck directly behind the office we will no longer have adequate parking for our staff & patients.

Our Story

At Specs Downtown, our goal is provide our patients with an eye care experience unlike anything else. Come in for a dilation free examination or to browse our eyeglass frames in a uniquely trendy office.

Our doctors loved the idea of opening an office in historic downtown Florence. We wanted to be part of the exciting renaissance of the downtown area. Finding the perfect location was the key to making it a reality. Fortunately, we found the perfect location with the help of Judy Young, broker at The Agency on Pine. We wanted to be on Court Street in the middle of everything and we are. Our office is located next door to one of the best Italian restaurants around, Ricatonis Italian Grill. Across the street is the Pie Factory and On the Rocks as well as Odette. We are easy to find...just look for the red eyeglasses on the wall.

We hope to make your eye care experience truly unique and personal. We strive to provide excellence in a modern, funky setting. Our appointment schedule is kept light to prevent overbooking and long wait times. Our doctors make every attempt to stay on time while providing the care that each patient requires.

Our optical shop is full of eyeglass frames that are as unique as our patients. We have a little bit of everything! Come by and Let Us Decorate Your Face!!!
