Alcon Laboratories has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of one specific lot of Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra PF, specifically the Single Vials On-the-Go, 25 count, with lot number 10101. The recall was initiated due to potential fungal contamination after a customer complaint identified foreign material inside a sealed single-use vial, which was later confirmed to be fungal in nature. This product, with an expiration date of September 2025, was distributed nationwide through various retailers and online platforms. No adverse health events have been reported related to this recall as of the latest information. Our Story

I would like to personally welcome you to our office, my second home and one of my favorite places to be. I guess we should tell you a bit about our office and the people in it. We are LOCAL! While we have a few locations, all of the staff and doctors are your neighbors and hopefully your friends. I have two partners, Ben (Dr. Kachelman) and Chad (Dr. Brewer). They are both from North Alabama and are two of the best people I know. I am also lucky to have Kathryn (Dr. Thigpen) and Kim (Dr. Ocampo) as associates. We all came together because we had a vision (pun intended) of what an eye care office could & should be. We spend each day trying to live up to our own expectations which we try to set even higher than yours. I would like to say thank you for shopping local and trusting us with your eye care and eyewear needs.

Your visit with us will hopefully be than any other eye exam you’ve ever had. If you have questions, please ask. My job, our doctors’ job is to take time to answer any questions you have. We have the latest and most technologically advanced equipment available to eye care providers and we simply do very thorough examinations. Most importantly, we listen and we care.

Yes, we sell glasses and contact lenses. We will make every attempt to sell them to you here because we truly believe that our products are the absolute best available. I personally wear every type of lens that we sell. If I won’t wear it, I can’t ask you to. I have to try all of the progressive multifocal lenses because I’m the old guy. Ben, Chad, Kathryn & Kim try lenses for the young folks. Any money you spend here puts tax dollars back in Florence, Muscle Shoals & Madison. So please shop local. If you can’t or won’t, please tell us how we can be better so you will consider it in the future.

We are all about making things easy for our patients! We have an online store. Did you know that? Well, we do. You can order your contact lenses from our online store any time of day or night and have the lenses delivered to your home or office. While we don’t have all of the fancy commercials and marketing schemes we offer contact lenses from local people with prices as low or lower than the big box stores. Please let us set up this service for you. One of best features of the online store is that you can use your vision insurance benefits which is a huge score for you! You can also use all of the rebates available from the lens manufacturers saving you even more money.

Eyeglasses...we sell eyeglasses & sunglasses. Let’s talk a little bit about glasses. All of the work we do during an exam is all for nothing if you don’t get the right pair of glasses with all of the proper measurements. It’s a lot like a car without an engine. While it might look nice it isn’t very functional. Make sure you choose well. In our office, we spend hours researching the best products that come from the best laboratories in the country. We realize that we are not always the least expensive place to buy glasses but we have no doubt that our glasses are the best that can be purchased. We have a huge lab with local people making glasses for other locals. We will recommend, manufacture and deliver the best pair of glasses to meet your needs and your budget. If your glasses aren’t working to your satisfaction...tell us. We want you to have glasses that you love. We simply aren’t happy if you aren’t happy.

Everyone today seems to believe that you should tell your story. The truth is, we all have a story. This is my story and Ben’s story and Chad’s story and the 45 or so staff members that we employ. We work hard every single day to be the absolute best at what we do. If we ever let you down, please give us a call and chance to make it right. We love what we do. We love our offices, our staff, our patients and our communities. We hope that you will love us too. We try to make your visit with us easy, relaxing and maybe even fun.
