✍️ Some people may doubt that our walk can bring peace to the world—and we understand that doubt completely. But everything that has ever mattered began with something impossibly small. A single seed. A first mindful breath. A quiet decision to take one step, then another.

Our walking itself cannot create peace. But when someone encounters us—whether by the roadside, online, or through a friend—when our message touches something deep within them, when it awakens the peace that has always lived quietly in their own heart—something sacred begins to unfold.

That person carries something forward they didn’t have before, or perhaps something they had forgotten was there. They become more mindful in their daily life—more present with each breath, more aware of each moment. They speak a little more gently to their child. They listen more patiently to their partner. They extend kindness to a stranger who needed it desperately.

And that stranger, touched by unexpected compassion, carries it forward to someone else. And it continues—ripple by ripple, heart by heart, moment by moment—spreading outward in ways none of us will ever fully witness, creating more peace in the world than we could possibly measure.

This is our contribution—not to force peace upon the world, but to help nurture it, one awakened heart at a time. Not the Walk for Peace alone can do this, but all of us together—everyone who has been walking with us in spirit, everyone who feels something stir within them when they encounter this journey, everyone who decides that cultivating peace within themselves matters.

One step becomes two. Two become a thousand. A thousand become countless. And slowly, gently, persistently—not through grand gestures but through ten thousand small acts of love—we can help make the world more peaceful.

This is our hope. This is our offering. This is why we walk.

May you and all beings be well, happy, and at peace.

🎉 A Milestone on the First Day of the New Year!
We are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy to share that both our Facebook and Instagram pages for the Walk for Peace have reached over 500k followers today on the first day of 2026!

📌 Current numbers:
Facebook: 528k followers
Instagram: 564k followers

And there’s more beautiful news: Aloka the Peace Dog’s page reached 100,000 followers on December 30th 2025—just 20 days after opening—and is now at 168,000 followers today!

This is beyond anything we could have imagined. So many hearts walking with us in spirit. So many people choosing to connect with this message of peace, mindfulness, compassion, and unity.

We are so deeply thankful for all the love—for peace, for the venerable monks, for Aloka, for this journey we’re all walking together.

This is not about numbers. This is about hearts. This is about a growing community of people who believe in peace, who practice kindness, who walk together even when separated by distance.

Thank you. From the depths of our hearts, thank you for being here, for following, for sharing, for believing in peace.

May this year ahead bring deeper peace to everyone everywhere.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace. 🙏💛✨

🙏 You may have seen this prayer we often share on our page: “May all beings be free from hatred, be healthy, be safe, be peaceful and at ease, and may they meet no obstacles in their daily lives.”

Sometimes a question arises in hearts that hear this: Does this mean we’re wishing for a life without difficulty? Without challenges? Without the need for courage and strength? We want to share what this prayer truly holds.

We’re not praying for life to become easy. We know—all of us know—that life brings what it brings. Loss comes. Heartbreak visits. Change arrives uninvited. No prayer can stop the rain from falling or make the road short. This is simply the nature of being alive, and we don’t ask for it to be otherwise.

What we’re praying for is something far more profound: May we all see clearly that the real obstacle is never the situation itself, but only how our minds meet it.

When our minds are tangled with fear, clouded by anger, or grasping at what cannot be held, every challenge feels like an insurmountable wall. Every difficulty looks like the end of our path.

But when our minds rest at peace, when we cultivate mindfulness like tending a garden, something beautiful unfolds. The walls we thought were solid begin to dissolve like mist in morning sun. We stop seeing difficulties as obstacles blocking our way and begin to see them simply as part of the path we’re walking—not enemies to fight, but conditions to move through with grace.

The venerable monks show us this truth every day on this walk. Rain falls, cold bites, miles stretch long, uncertainty lingers—yet these are not obstacles to them. They are simply the path. And so they keep walking, steady and calm, present with what is.

This is what we offer in our prayer: not a life free from difficulty, but a mind free from seeing difficulty as an obstacle. When we find this kind of peace within ourselves, we discover true freedom—not the absence of challenges, but the presence of an unshakeable calm that walks with us through everything. May we all find this peace. May we all know this freedom.

May you and all beings be happy and at peace. 🙏✨

“When Maharaj-ji said to meditate like Christ, that Christ lost himself in love, everyone was included in that. It wasn’t somewhere else. It was all-consuming and included me. It was love. And love is what we were experiencing in those moments with Maharaj-ji — unconditional, spacious, all-inclusive love.” - Krishna Das
