Get to know Natalie in this recent Q&A with her:
Q: What Inspired You To Pursue A Career In Healthcare?
A: Initially, I did not plan on pursuing a career in healthcare. Thankfully, a group of fabulous people took a chance on me become pat of their team. More than 20 years later, I am still learning new skills, embracing new roles and responsibilities that keep challenging me in different ways. I also enjoy the opportunity to work with a diverse group of talented and compassionate coworkers who have given me invaluable knowledge.
Q: What Are Some Of Your Proudest Accomplishments In Your Career So Far?
A: I would say my biggest accomplishment in utilizing my skills to help improve the processes of CMMC Home Health and having a hand in providing quality care for our community. It can be as small as taking a phone call or as big as maintaining the agency’s QAPI programs. I take pride in every task that I do.
Q: How do You Stay Motivated, Or What Keeps You Passionate About What You Do?
A: I love a challenge. Coding is like puzzle solving and you’re constantly examining patient records and deciphering medical conditions in search of the most appropriate diagnosis code. The “detective” work keeps me on my toes. I also love seeing how my contributions can help improve a patient’s care for the better.
Q: What Are Some Of Your Hobbies Or Interests Outside Of Work?
A: I enjoy doing artwork, gardening, and going to area car shows with my husband. Or just spending time with my grandchildren and family.
