It’s time to break out the pink ribbons - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. About one in eight women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in her lifetime.
Early detection is key – the five-year survival rate for women diagnosed early is 99%.
Screening isn’t scary! If you need to learn how to do an effective self-examination, have questions or concerns about what to expect from a mammogram, or would like to discuss risk factors and healthy lifestyle changes that can help, please call our office. We are here for you.
If you are age 40 or over, take the Mammo Pledge on October 17, and encourage your friends and family members to do the same.
