What a month it's been! 💙
The ZPH team has had the privilege of connecting with students, parents, and community members across several incredible events this spring, and we are so grateful for every opportunity to show up and serve.

Here's a recap of where we've been:
Summit Wellness Symposium | April 28
We presented Putting the Joy Back Into Parenting at this year's Summit Wellness Symposium. Parents joined us for a meaningful conversation about understanding teens during this pivotal stage of life, building practical tools for everyday parenting challenges, and strengthening the parent/teen relationship. This one was close to our hearts!

Roxbury SEL Community Night | April 30
We participated in Roxbury's Social Emotional Learning Community Night with our Shred Your Stress activity, sharing resources to help students and families build healthy coping skills.

Cranford High School Wellness Fair | April 30
Also on April 30, we were at the Cranford High School Wellness Fair introducing students to Pocket Power Source — a hands-on activity where students created their own grounding and calming personalized stones to carry with them as a reminder to pause, breathe, and reset.

Coming Up: Creature Comfort Pet Therapy | May 6
Next Tuesday, we'll be presenting Showing Up When It Matters Most: Pet Therapy After a School Tragedy for Creature Comfort Pet Therapy volunteers. This presentation is designed to help volunteers understand how to best support students and staff following a tragedy in their community. It's important, meaningful work and we are honored to be part of it.

We believe that wellness doesn't just happen in a therapist's office. It happens in school hallways, community centers, and conversations between parents and kids. Thank you to every organization that welcomed us!

Interested in having ZPH present at your next event or wellness fair? We'd love to connect.

May and June can be brutal for students. The end of the school year is in sight, but the final stretch brings state testing, final exams, projects, and emotional transitions all at once. If your child is snapping more, losing sleep, or suddenly "sick" every morning, these aren't signs of laziness. They're signs of real overwhelm.
In our latest blog, we break down why these final weeks are so hard, what warning signs to watch for, and practical strategies that actually help. Plus, guidance on when stress points to something deeper.
You don't have to navigate this alone. Read the full post and get support for your family.

College decisions are coming out, and for many students, this is one of the most emotionally intense moments of the year.

There can be excitement, disappointment, relief, grief — sometimes all at once. What makes it harder is the pressure to react a certain way or compare outcomes with others.

A college decision is information, not a verdict on who you are or what you’re capable of.

If your teen is feeling overwhelmed right now, support looks like space, validation, and reminding them that there are many paths forward — even if this one wasn’t what they hoped for.

We shared more about managing the stress of the college process (before and after decisions) in our latest blog.

💬 ChatGPT is not your therapist.

AI tools can feel supportive—but they can’t assess risk, manage crises, or provide real therapeutic care.

Recent research shows a growing number of teens are turning to chatbots for emotional support. While AI can be useful for information, it should never replace licensed mental health professionals—especially for children and adolescents.

📖 Read our latest blog to learn:
• Why AI falls short in mental health care
• The risks for kids and teens
• Signs your child may be relying on AI instead of real support
