Our 8th Chinese Wellness Day is one month away! It will be held on Sunday, June 8 from 1pm to 4 pm. There will be free screenings, physician presentations and opportunities to talk to specialists. This is an event not to miss! 🌟🌺☀️

World Hepatitis Day is a global campaign and initiative that aims to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030 through vaccination, testing, and treating people living with viral hepatitis. Since 2021, RWJBarnabas Health partner hospitals, including Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey, and Jersey City Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Rahway and Somerset together have conducted 220,000 HCV and 96,700 HBV screenings with 1,388 HCV and 756 HBV positive patients identified. Patient navigators provide these patients with linkage to follow up care and navigation services throughout the RWJBarnabas Health system.

We were at the Hepatitis B Patient Conference today in Philly! Our own Dr Su Wang gave an overview of Hepatitis B & D, and was in the Provider Q & A Panel.

This is a photo with the Cooperman Barnabas team at the First Lady’s Family Festival this year in Elizabeth - we were there offering free hepatitis B & C screenings to the community. Working with the pathology department, we have performed 63 free hepatitis B & C tests at community events so far this year 😊
