In light of the recent increase in tornados and the devastation it caused on May 16th within our headquarter city of St. Louis, it is important to continue to center key considerations as many are still attempting to navigate stabilization and recovery.

Whether directly impacted or supporting others, it’s essential to prioritize your mental and emotional well-being throughout every stage.

Here’s 5 considerations for Self+Community Care including:
•Trauma therapy & initial interventions
•Normalizing range of emotions
•Necessity of interconnected support
•Current mental health resources
•Recovery and burnout prevention for the long haul

As a newly hybrid practice it was important to us to meet the community where the need is and provide more than virtual care. Our team members continue to support volunteer hubs and will now help staff efforts providing mental health support at two local churches throughout June:

Tuesday’s - Thursday’s 11am-3pm
MERCY SEAT MB CHURCH
4424 Washington Ave.
St. Louis, Missouri 63108

Wednesday’s - Saturday’s 11am-3pm
GREATER RISING STAR CHURCH
1819 E. Prairie Ave.
St. Louis, Missouri 63107

The community’s response across several organizations, businesses, churches, and groups has been beautiful to experience.

✨New Blog Alert✨

Excerpt:
“The problems of the world have continued to feel heavier and heavier these days. But, this time, we are choosing to prioritize rest.

Mhmm. That thing you’ve been neglecting to do for the past… how many days, weeks and months? Yea that thing. Resting. Because rest is resistance.

As this month to celebrate Black History comes to a close, your focus will remain the same.

Let’s not only continue centering rest, but also celebrating joy, excellence, and culture.

Take moments regularly to inhale the richness of our history, the strength of our ancestors, and the undeniable beauty of our existence. And then exhale the weight of the world, the expectations placed on us, and the idea that we must always be strong”.
