Today we celebrated Senior Citizen Day in style! 🧇🥂
We treated our seniors to a delicious waffle bar complete with all the toppings—and of course, mimosas! 🍓🍊 It was a morning full of good food, and great company. 💛 You can also catch a peek at our new dining tables in these photos.

🚸 School supply drop off complete! 🚸
We had the joy of delivering all of the amazing school supplies collected to Russell elementary School! From backpacks to notebooks, markers and glue sticks, your generosity will help so many students start the school year off right.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated, shared and supported this effort. Because of you, kids at Russell elementary are walking into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and cared for. 💜

Satchel Paige had it right all along. He was not only a showman, attracting record crowds whenever he pitched, he also had talent, brains and a tremendous amount of charisma.
He was the Barnum & Bailey of the ball field.
He was also the oldest major league "rookie" when he got the call to "The Show," 42 and two months old... But that didn't stop him. For most of his career he threw nothing but fastballs and while he had a bunch of colorful names for his pitches such as: "Bat Dodger, Midnight Creeper and Trouble Ball" - they were essentially... fastballs. It was said that Paige threw a lot of pitches that were not quite "legal" and not quite "illegal." 😀
Cardinal favorite Dizzy Dean once said Paige's fastball made his own look like a change-up.
Speaking of "Change-Ups"... There will came a time when you or your loved ones will need to downsize from their home.
Stairs and bathrooms will eventually become dangerous obstacles, yard work and basic home maintenance will no longer bring the joy, deciding what to eat is suddenly now a hassle, driving to your doctor, dentist or the pharmacy before the sun goes down makes you anxious .... well, you get the idea.

☀️🍦 It was the perfect day to load up the bus and head to Ted Drewes for a frozen treat! Nothing beats sunshine, good company, and a classic St. Louis concrete to cool things off. Thanks for the ride Michele! 💛🚌
