Jeff Breedlove will be missed!! The work and support of recovery across the state that you have shown is remarkable!!

Today, we're sharing our gratitude as we mark the final day of Jeff Breedlove serving on the Georgia Council for Recovery (GC4R) team. GC4R was incorporated in 1992 as a substance use advocacy organization. Over the decades, our mission has grown to increase the impact of recovery in Georgia’s communities through education, advocacy, training, and peer recovery support services.

During his time providing advocacy services on behalf of GC4R, Jeff played a meaningful role in advancing recovery efforts across the state. Among many contributions, he supported advocacy at the Georgia State Capitol on GC4R’s legislative priorities, contributed to the Georgia Recovers Bus Tour project from 2023–2025, participated in conferences and events across Georgia, and worked alongside recovery partners to help elevate the voices of lived experience.

Today, we share our appreciation as we recognize Recovery Champion, Jeff Breedlove. We are grateful for his contributions and wish him the best in his next chapter. We remain committed to moving forward in service to Georgia’s recovery community and the mission that guides our work.

Thank you to our friends at the Association of Recovery in Higher Education for their resolute leadership in this important initiative

This year’s Collegiate Recovery Week theme – Recovery in Motion – honors the energy, growth, and forward movement of recovery in higher education.

Across campuses, students, staff, and advocates are creating spaces where recovery is seen, celebrated, and supported, and where pursuing a degree never has to come at the expense of wellbeing
