One important thing you can do to protect your heart is to make sure your blood pressure is in the healthy range. High blood pressure often has no immediate symptoms, so the only way to know if yours is high is to check it. Sit down and relax for a few minutes first—being hurried may give a falsely high reading.

Hello friends and neighbors! If you or someone you know is looking for a new primary care physician, my name is Lezli Braswell, and I’m a board certified family medicine physician who is accepting new patients in Flower Mound.

Our clinic’s model of practice—Direct Primary Care (DPC)—aims to change the way primary care is delivered. We operate outside the world of insurance, instead offering our services for an affordable monthly fee. (Kind of like a gym membership!) There are no contracts (you can cancel any time), and until the end of 2023, I am refunding the $100 registration fee for new patients.

This DPC model allows us to have greater availability (we can usually see you the same day or the next day), longer appointments, improved communication, and an enhanced focus on preventive care.

I believe this model is truly the best for patients, and it allows me to be the kind of doctor I know people want and need.

This is an especially good option for those of you who are uninsured or have a high deductible insurance plan.
