See that white ring around the edge? That’s a normal sign of placental aging — often made up of calcium and fibrin. It shows the placenta has done its full-term job of supporting baby until birth. Each one tells its own story — a perfect example of how incredible the human body is!

This one has what’s called a marginal cord insertion — where the cord attaches near the edge instead of the center. Still completely functional, just uniquely designed.

I love how each placenta has its own pattern, texture, and placement — like fingerprints of the womb. No two are ever the same. 🌿.
