On Christmas Eve, hope walked. 💙

Chad went to our Florida clinic earlier this year after being told his only options were an above-knee amputation or a lifetime in a wheelchair.

Through his determination and unwavering commitment to his care - including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and advanced wound care - Chad walked with his below-knee prosthetic. 👣✨

🎉 Big Congratulations to Will! 🎉

We're so happy to share that William Hays, one of our Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Technicians at our Lewisville clinic, has officially passed his CHT exam and is now a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT)!

Will joined US Wound Care & Hyperbaric Centers in August 2024, and from day one he set his sights on becoming certified. This achievement reflects not only his dedication to our team and the patients he serves, but also his commitment to building a career in the specialized field of hyperbaric medicine.

Becoming a CHT is no small accomplishment. It requires:
✔️ A base healthcare certification (such as RN, EMT, or Paramedic)
✔️ Completion of an NBDHMT-approved 40-hour hyperbaric course
✔️ 480 hours of hands-on clinical experience in a hyperbaric setting
✔️ Passing a comprehensive certification exam
✔️ Ongoing continuing education

Earning this certification demonstrates that Will has the knowledge and skills to make a real impact in the lives of patients facing complex conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, radiation injuries, and more.
