Mental Health Awareness Month Reminder 💚

Tip of the Day:
Pay attention to the way you speak to yourself. Many people say things to themselves they would never say to someone they love.

Try replacing:
“I’m failing.”
with
“I’m having a hard moment.”

Small shifts in self-talk can make a big difference in how we carry stress, anxiety and overwhelm. Be kind to yourself today.

⭐️ Mental Health Awareness Month ⭐️

Here is your gentle reminder to look for joy in the little moments to remind you that life is still beautiful.

If you are in the middle of stress, grief, anxiety, or overwhelm, try to notice the small moments of joy, such as the sound of laughter, a familiar song or a bright red cardinal appearing at just the right time.

Sometimes healing begins by noticing the small things.

Joy does not have to be big to be special ❤️

Distorted thinking, also called Cognitive Distortions are patterns of thinking that are self-sabotaging, wrong, and emotionally damaging.
Learning that there was a name for my thoughts, and ways to change my thoughts, helped with my anxiety SO much. A lot of anxiety is having to unlearn your default thought patterns. Changing them can help in so many areas of your life, not just with anxiety.

Mind Reading: Thinking that everyone hates you / is bothered by you /talking about you/ laughing at you.

Catastrophizing: I used to live in worst possible outcomes. From relationships, to my job, to pretty much everything = doom.

All or Nothing Thinking: I struggled with this in my youth and it contributed to a lot of my anger issues and lashing out with emotional abuse. In my relationships, if they did one thing wrong, my brain would immediately go to THEY HATE ME AND I HATE THEM, and the chaos would ensue. I felt incapable of realizing that people make mistakes and not everything was about me.

Overgeneralization: I used to make a mistake at work and then beat myself up for weeks about it. "I can NEVER do anything right. I ALWAYS fail." And who hasn't told their partner "You always do xyz." When in reality they don't *always* do it?

Which one do you tend to struggle with the most?

Boundaries are not walls. They are guidelines for how we protect our peace, energy, and mental health.

A healthy boundary might sound like:
• “I can’t take that on right now.”
• “I need time to think before responding.”
• “I care about you, but I can’t fix this for you.”
• “That conversation isn’t healthy for me.”

Setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable at first, especially if you’re used to putting everyone else first. But boundaries don’t make you selfish. They help create healthier relationships built on respect and honesty.

The people who benefit most from you having no boundaries may struggle when you start setting them. That doesn’t mean the boundary is wrong.

Friendly reminder during Mental Health Awareness Month - You are allowed to protect your time, energy and wellbeing. 🤍

Mental Health Awareness Month!

Reminder: healing doesn’t always happen in an office. Sometimes it happens on a walk with your dog, at the barn with a horse, cuddling your cat after a hard day, or simply being in nature with animals around you. 🐾

Animals can help reduce stress, lower anxiety, provide comfort, and remind us to slow down and stay present. They offer connection without judgment which is something many people need greatly when struggling with mental health. These connections can be incredibly grounding and healing.

Take care of your mental health in the ways that work for you. Sometimes the smallest moments bring the biggest sense of peace. 💚
