Good news for Cedar allergy sufferers, the worst of the Cedar season is over! Bad news is that spring elm & ash have started pollinating. Even though Bradford Pears with the pretty white flowers don’t cause pollen allergies, their blooming coincides with the start of the Oak pollen season in March.

I wanted to show y’all these adorable farm animals (aka my petting zoo) AND offer a public service announcement for anyone who’s recently moved to TX from northern latitudes that have not been invaded by Fire Ants. This video shows a large quiet fire ant mound & the next one is what happens when you disturb it. A small % of the population can have anaphylaxis to fire ant stings so it’s important to teach your little ones to avoid these mounds. 🐜

Due to the weather forecast, the office will be closed for patient visits and our phones going to voicemail. We will be checking refills, portal messages and voicemails.

Provided Dr Barnett can make it the 2.5 miles from home to the office, she will be giving allergy shots for anyone who shows up (usually those with big trucks, lol). Stay safe this weekend!
