The September Asthma Peak will soon be here. Back-to-school, respiratory viruses, and fall pollen season combine to create a perfect storm for increased asthma symptoms.

There are more ER visits and hospital stays due to asthma in September than any other month.

Fortunately, focused asthma management resources and education like those supported by the CDC’s National Asthma Control Program (NACP) can help.

Since 1999, this program has saved lives, reduced asthma-related ER visits and hospital stays, and helped cut down on missed days of school and work.
