The Center for Neuroperformance and Counseling (CNC) is a counseling and neurotherapy clinic located in Flower Mound, TX. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing traditional therapy and biofeedback at an affordable rate to the community. Bio/neurofeedback is a non-invasive, non-medicated alternative therapy to many psychological and behavioral disorders, liked ADD/ADHD. Like other f
orms of biofeedback, neurotherapy uses monitoring devices to provide moment-to-moment information to an individual on the state of their physiological functioning. The characteristic that distinguishes neurotherapy from other biofeedback is a focus on the central nervous system and the brain. Neurofeedback training (NFT) has its foundations in basic and applied neuroscience as well as data-based clinical practice. It takes into account behavioral, cognitive, and subjective aspects as well as brain activity. At CNC, we begin with an objective assessment of brain activity and symptomology. Brain activity is monitored in a 19 channel recording called a Quantitative EEG (qEEG). The information is then collaborated with reported symptoms to identify deregulated brainwave frequencies. Those frequencies are then targeted in a treatment session in which optimal performance is rewarded. Typical treatment is a 45 minute appointment twice per week for approximately 5-7 months (approximately 35 training sessions) with one of our Master’s level and certified clinicians. CNC accepts clients as young as 5 years of age up to adult. We have offices in Flower Mound and Lewisville. Flower Mound Office: Caddo Offices, Suite 145, 2201 Spinks Road
