Local-ish friends! Tomorrow/Sunday, October 27 from 2 to 4 PM at the Floyd Center for the Arts, we are having a circle of the Dances of Universal Peace. As this is the time of the year of turning within, we contemplate especially the flowing water that helps us to reflect and appreciate and feel our deep kinship with all that is. We honor all sacred traditions, and our celebration will include Celtic, Buddhist, Sufi, indigenous, ancient Middle Eastern, Christian, and universal dances, even the slightly mysterious dance of Hecate, goddess crone of wisdom and new dimensions. (It is after all almost Halloween and All Souls Day, a time of year when the veils are thin.) 🙂 Please join us – old and new singers, dancers, lovers of communion and embodied prayer and cocreated peace. All of the songs/dances are extremely simple and taught as we go, and the collective heart synergy allows us to harmonize and flow effortlessly in the rhythm, sound and vibrational experience. I am joined by the amazing crew oRachel Theo-Maurellili, Kris and Jeff Kiko-Kozy and thBhakti Kulanini band as well as my sweet hubLuke Staenglngl, singing harmonies and playing recorder. 🙂 Step into the flow with us! 🙂

We are so grateful for dearest friends like Deanna D OKeefe, who wrote this poem . . .

She writes . . .

I wrote something for you, Luke and your beautiful land. I hope this expresses at least a little of the way your friendship and light you all have shared with changed my life and helped me awaken to the soul I was destined to be :

In Anahata where the wildflowers bloom,
I shed my past, dispel my gloom.
With every sunrise, new beginnings rise,
A dance of shadows beneath the skies.

The laughter of the earth, a sweet symphony,
A call to awaken the depths within me.
Here, among voices that shimmer like light,
I find my heart's compass, rediscover what's right.

The rivers, they whisper secrets untold,
Stories of courage and love, fierce and bold.
In gentle valleys where wild souls roam,
I grasp the tendrils of finding my home.

The people I meet are the stars in my night,
Their wisdom a beacon, their spirits ignite.
Together we sing, hand in hand,
In this sacred place, we truly understand.

For love isn't given; it’s nurtured and grown,
In the soil of connection, our spirits have flown.
In Anahata, I bloom like the trees,
Finding solace and strength in the soft, gentle breeze

All my Love and Light ☀️ D

Did you know Eco-Village Touring is becoming a big thing? Tours are starting to happen all over the world, including places like Costa Rica, Slovenia, Vermont and Virginia!

Anahata is hosting a group on an Eco-Village tour in early September. Traversing from the Twin Oaks communities conference all the way to The Valley of Light in Independence VA, this tour will bring you up close and personal with multiple intentional communities in the region, while enjoying the company of others seeking community. There is then a second tour throughout North Carolina starting a few days later.

Because we're involved, we can offer our friends and extended community a $100 discount on ANY upcoming tour, and a free Eco-Village Tour guide (downloadable booklet). They also have big discounts for those signing up early.

We all know 'it takes a village' and appreciate the heartfelt connection, sustainability, fun and shared endeavor of community. Check it out! : )
