InStill is committed to cultivating a mindful world for all. Our mission is to cultivate kindness, compassion, and caring through education, action, and community. Our Core Principle is Connection—with heart, mind, self, synapses, nature, and community. Our Values include:
Gratitude: We value gratitude in our own lives, and offer it freely. Self-care: We value self-care in our own lives, and aim to instill it in those around us. Awareness: We value the development of our own awareness, and provide tools to help others develop it in themselves. Redefine the mind: We value how mindfulness has changed our relationship with our mind, and foster it in others. Simplicity: We value simplicity as an antidote to chaos. Adaptability: We value adaptability, and welcome change rather than resist it. Walk the Walk: We value authenticity, and only aim to ‘preach’ what we actually practice. Acceptance: We value the equanimity gained through acceptance, and try to meet people where they are.

The Pulaski County Ministerial Association Emergency Shelter is in need of additional volunteers, and we wanted to help spread the word.

This shelter provides critical support to members of our community, and volunteers play a vital role in making that care possible. Whether you can offer time regularly or just occasionally, your presence makes a difference.

We’re living in a time when many old wounds feel close to the surface — personally and collectively.
In that spirit, we want to share an invitation from Zen Peacemakers.

Bearing Witness to Racism in America is a retreat taking place April 23–27, 2026, in Montgomery and Selma, Alabama. Through presence, silence, and shared experience, participants are invited to listen deeply and reflect on how the past continues to live within us today.

This retreat is open to people of all backgrounds and does not require prior Zen practice — only a willingness to remain present, stay curious, and meet discomfort with compassion.

❄️ Winter Weather Reminder ❄️

Snow is expected across the New River Valley this weekend. As the weather moves in, we encourage everyone to slow down, stay informed, and prioritize safety and care—for yourself and for one another.

If you’re able, plan ahead, check in on neighbors, and give yourself permission to rest and stay warm. Presence sometimes looks like pausing and choosing what’s most supportive in the moment.

From all of us at InStill Mindfulness, we’re holding our community with care and wishing you a safe, gentle weekend. 🤍

🌟 Sound Bath with Shane King — What to Expect 🌟

Ready to experience deep relaxation and full-body grounding?

A sound bath is a meditative, acoustic immersion designed to soothe the nervous system and reconnect mind and body. During this session, Shane King uses layered vibrations from instruments like Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, chimes, drums, rain-sticks, and more — each chosen with intention and purpose.

As the sounds wash over you, they help guide the body into a deeply restful, restorative state.

✨ Benefits May Include:

💙 Lower heart rate & blood pressure
😌 Reduced stress, tension, anxiety & fatigue
🌿 Improved sleep and relaxation
🌞 Increased energy & positive mood
🧘‍♀️ Relief from physical discomfort
✨ A greater sense of grounding and inner calm

📅 January 9th

🕔 5:00–6:30 PM
