UPDATE: SOLD

Due to last minute medical cancellations we have 2 management hunts available. 3 day hunt, any 3 days from the 17th through the 23rd. We started to not even offer these as available, but we have several stud management bucks that we would like to have taken! 3 day all inclusive hunt so grab a buddy and get on it, these won’t last long as they are first come first serve!

TX pronghorn season has come and gone. A swing and a miss yours truly due to not ranging my target. He would’ve definitely been the biggest pronghorn I’ve ever shot, and would’ve got me started towards the Texas Slam. Oh well, maybe next year. Be looking out next season, as we should have 3-5 hunts available for our clients! Now we will shift the focus completely to mule deer! Here’s to a great season!

Attention Panhandle (actual panhandle, not south plains LOL) pheasant enthusiasts… here’s a great opportunity to help with a research project aimed at pheasant population as it related to ecology in the panhandle. PF & QF chapters will be assisting Dr. Brown with the project.

CANYON, Texas — A West Texas A&M University faculty member recently earned an $860,000 grant to study the declining population of an economically important Panhandle bird.

The wait is finally over and it’s official, my 2023 buck scored 210 2/8” non-typical B&C. This is the first deer I have taken for myself since 2013. We hunted this buck during the 2022-23 season when he was a 185-190” typical with 5 different hunters, but he became a ghost and just disappeared. I had the opportunity to take him later on in the year but passed to see what he might grow if we had some decent moisture, and not an I glass I did. He is my largest buck to date, and I’m not sure if I will ever be able to tip him, especially in Texas! We do grow some giants on our ranches tho, so who knows! Special thanks to my great friend and partner in the outfit for all that he does for us, and for filming the entire hunt and shoot on this magnificent animal!

On a side note, he is currently #2 in the standings for the season!
