The Importance of Practice

Whether you attend a yoga class, or practice by yourself, it is important not to ignore the body.
The flow of integrating postures and breath will keep your heart healthy. Letting the oxygen flow through to your muscles and keeping the circulation going, benefits muscles and joints. It also reduces stress levels.
Many people complain about back and shoulder problems.
Chances are that these ailments are just stress kept in those muscles. Practicing yoga, will improve the stress levels in the body and will control the problems.

THURSDAY YOGA CLASSES:

Course description:
Combining Yoga breathing and stretching along with strengthening postures. Focus on posture alignment and coordination between the breath and movements are emphasized. Sessions begin with a warm up, followed by a series of postures then finishing with a cool down and relaxation period. Detailed instructions are provided throughout the practice. No previous yoga experience is necessary. You are encouraged to bring a 'sticky' yoga mat, bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes. You may also incorporate light hand weights, yoga strap, bolster or small pillow into your practice. For all fitness levels, beginners are welcome.

Session 1- Fall 2014

Dates: Thursdays, October 2 - November 20, 2014 (no class on November 27)
(snow makeup date is December 4)

Time: 6:15pm-7:15pm

Location: Middle School Cafeteria

Cost: $30 per person
