Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women in the United States. The American Cancer Society estimates that 1 in every 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, underscoring the importance of education, early detection, and proactive healthcare.

Aveanna stands firmly beside every individual impacted by breast cancer, offering compassionate and caring support. We celebrate the courage of survivors and honor the memory of those we have lost to this disease, acknowledging the profound impact it has on families, friends, and communities.

As we observe National Physical Therapy Month this October, we celebrate our physical therapists here at Aveanna who help our patients in a variety of ways and in a variety of settings.

Regardless of setting, patient population, or specialty, each one of our PTs and PTAs makes a lasting impact on the individuals they serve. They help adults in regaining lost functionality, enabling them to live their happiest, healthiest, and most independent lives. They strengthen and empower, they bring possibility and hope, and they are consistent, caring, and creative. They prove that small steps can overcome impossible odds.

Aveanna is proud to recognize World Heart Day, a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) and encourage communities to advocate for heart health. 2025 is especially unique because it marks the 25th anniversary of World Heart Day.

According to the World Heart Federation, CVD kills over 20 million people each year. However, 80% of premature deaths from CVD can be prevented by simple changes to diet, exercise, and stress management.

This year's theme for World Heart Day is "Don't Miss a Beat," an initiative to raise awareness for the fact that so many people are missing out on time with loved ones due to early deaths as a result of CVD.
