As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we would like to share something we are grateful for: our volunteers. We are blessed to have many from our community who come in on a regular basis and volunteer their time to share their gifts and abilities with our precious residents. Though there are too many to name individually, they are not overlooked. Each and every one of them holds a special place in our hearts, and they are greatly appreciated. Pictured here is Carol; she comes in every week and teaches one of her favorite games, Mexican Train Dominoes. We also have Pastor Greg Hagan from Magnolia Springs Baptist Church, who comes to share an in-depth Bible study. Thanks again to our community and our volunteers. It truly takes a village, and our residents are so appreciative of all you do.

Lunch with this bunch is always fun!!! Today we gathered at Mugshots. Some had burgers. 🍔 Some had chili. 🌶️ We all tried the fried bread pudding. 😋 And we all agree, we're going back!!!! We invite you to join our effort to feed the hungry and clothe the needy while cheering on your favorite football team! Our Alabama/Auburn competition will take place throughout the month of November. Please stop by Live Oak Village Assisted Living and drop off your donations by placing them in your favorite designated box. (We’re happy to show you around Live Oak Village if you’re interested). We welcome shelf-stable food items, blankets, jackets, shoes and gently used clothing. The donations will be used to create Blessing boxes for local distribution and support New Life in Christ Church in Foley.
