🎉 Huge congratulations to our CTE Health Science students for completing the Sensory Inclusive™ First Responder Certification through KultureCity! 👏
This training equips future healthcare professionals with essential skills to recognize and respond to individuals with sensory needs or invisible disabilities—such as autism, PTSD, or dementia—ensuring compassionate and effective care in emergency situations.
Starting January 1, 2025, Alabama mandates that all first responders, including law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS personnel, undergo sensory inclusion training as part of the Cade Noah Act. This legislation aims to improve interactions with individuals with sensory needs, enhancing safety and understanding across our communities .
By completing this certification, our students are not only meeting upcoming state requirements but also demonstrating a commitment to inclusive and empathetic healthcare practices. We’re proud of their dedication to serving all members of our community with respect and awareness.
