🎉 We’re thrilled to team up with the Brooke County Chamber of Commerce for an exciting Touch-A-Truck event at Brightwood Center! 🎉

Join us on Thursday, August 7th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for an unforgettable afternoon packed with fun for all ages! 🚒🚓🚛🚌🚑

Bring the whole family to explore a variety of awesome vehicles, jam out to great music, and let the kids bounce their hearts out in the bounce house!

But that’s not all—we’ll have a dunk tank, snow cones, raffle baskets, 50/50 drawings, food, and a chance to connect with amazing local family resources and so much more.

Back to School Bash 2025 was a success at Brightwood Center!

What a great way to kick off the school year! Our Back to School Bash at Brightwood Center was a wonderful time. As families prepare to head back to school, we wanted to be an additional support by providing school supplies and giving kids the chance to win some amazing prizes.

We’re proud to share that we were able to help around 60 children, and we’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity to give back. In addition to supplies, we were excited to offer free haircuts to help the kids feel confident and ready for the new school year.

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors for their generous support, and to the volunteers who donated their time to make this event possible. Your kindness helped brighten the day for so many local families!

We had a wonderful time celebrating at Brightwood’s Red, White, and Blue 4th of July Social. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special — it was truly a joy to spend it together.

From the delicious food and festive decorations to the laughter and great conversations, every moment reminded us how lucky we are to share these times as a community. Your smiles and spirit made the celebration one to remember.

🎊🎉What an outstanding CNA graduation ceremony we held for our Brightwood Center graduates!🎉🎊

A special thank you goes to Carrie Bishop, our dedicated Nurse Educator, whose exceptional commitment ensures our students receive the highest quality education to succeed in their roles. We are truly grateful for her continued dedication and support.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Carrie and Mattie, who were asked by a few graduates to do the honor of pinning them — what a wonderful testament to the positive impact they have on our students.

We are also so grateful to our seasoned CNA, Allie Ross, for taking the time to share a heartfelt pep talk with our graduating students. Your words of encouragement and experience mean so much and truly inspire the next generation of caregivers.

Additionally, Carrie gave a heartfelt shout-out to our amazing Rehab team — Amy, Carla, Scott, and Steve — for everything they do to help teach our students important skills related to rehabilitation care. Your collaboration and dedication are truly appreciated!

In response to the recent flooding in the Tridelphia, WV area, Brightwood Center proudly came together to collect essential items for those affected. The outpouring of support from our staff, residents, and families was truly inspiring. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength and compassion within our Brightwood family.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Greg Moore, Director of Brooke County EMA/EMS, for personally coordinating the pickup and delivery of the donations to Tridelphia Methodist Church, where they will be distributed to families in need.

This effort is a reflection of our continued commitment to being there for our neighbors—not just in times of celebration, but also in moments of hardship. Let’s continue to lead with heart and step up whenever our community calls.
