🌿 Health is more than just exercise—it’s a lifestyle.

At Folsom Physical Therapy, we’re committed to more than rehab. As co-owner Michael Moore shares:

“One deeply-rooted priority we hold at Folsom PT is taking an all-around approach in trying to help optimize the health of our patients and training community. We believe that good health requires more than exercise alone, so we strive to provide quality information regarding lifestyle changes in multiple areas such as nutrition, stress management and sleep.”

Whether you're recovering, training, or simply trying to live better—we’re here with the tools, knowledge, and support to help you thrive.

Can’t teach an old dog new tricks? While it may be true for dogs we know it’s not true for humans! Humans have the ability to acquire new skills throughout the lifespan. Emerging science is showing that intentional practices like meditation, breathing exercises, as well as running, walking or biking outdoors can alter human autonomic responses. Start with action and your brain will follow!

At FPT our goals are your goals. We are committed to helping you turn goals into action.

Head on over to for some great, short videos on neuroplasticity and ways to help make your brain function optimally!

Some Franklin D. Roosevelt wisdom to inspire us this Wednesday...

We are all going through some rough seas, but we are encouraged seeing how people and companies have and continue to adapt and grow.

We are encouraged knowing we all can and will be better.

A lot has kept us busy this past month.
Going through the uncertainties of a pandemic reminds us of what is certain:

The people we love and those who inspire us are what matter most.

Right now we want to take a moment to remember a mentor and friend to Folsom Physical Therapy & Training Center who passed away April 15, 2020 at the age of 93.

Olaf Evjenth dedicated his life to the advancement of physical therapy and has been monumental in the development of our clinic's treatment model, treatment techniques, continuing education courses, and physical therapy philosophy.

Olaf Evjenth worked with Freddy Kaltenborn in establishing the Nordic OMT System, Kaltenborn-Evjenth Concept.

One of FPT's owners, Michael Moore, studied under Olaf for 2 years in Norway. For 26 consecutive years Olaf came to Folsom Physical Therapy & Training Center and held a four-day manual therapy course open to the physical therapy public. The remaining days of each week he would see complex patients in our clinic during the day and then have special 2–3 hour evening tutorials on manual therapy for our staff.

Olaf will be missed, but his contributions will continue in physical therapy practice world wide.

Just wanted to let you all know that we missed you this weekend - and that we hope you are all safe and healthy! -Tim, Michael, Brigit, Angie, Eric & Christina
