Men FEEL a lot. But in so many cases, they were never taught the language to express it. That’s where Brainspotting comes in to play. 🧠 You don’t need to have the words to work through the trauma.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please call us at 916-608-4569. Ask for Todd Carr or Chris Stone, two of our incredible therapists who specialize in working with men. 💙

It’s not you, it’s your attachment issues. ❤️‍🩹 Brainspotting goes beyond just talking about it by helping you access where attachment wounds actually live in your brain and body.

And our LMFT, Mary Jean Walton, is excellent at understanding these patterns and helping you out of them.

We could really talk all day about Brainspotting Therapy, but it goes beyond words to access what’s stored deep in your body & brain through eye positions. 👀

If you want to see what the hype is about, call our center at 916-608-4569 and we’d love to tell you more! ❤️

Did you know EMDR and Brainspotting might look similar… but they actually work in very different ways?

EMDR uses structured sets and bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) to help the brain reprocess memories.

Brainspotting is more fluid and body-based, using eye position to access where trauma is stored and letting the brain lead the healing process.

Same goal: processing trauma
Different paths: structure vs. deep attunement

If you’ve ever felt like talk therapy only goes so far, this is where things can shift.

TRAUMA THERAPY:

Pacific Counseling and Trauma Center specializes in Brainspotting, one of the most cutting edge emotional trauma therapies available. Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neuro-physiological sources of emotional and physical pain, and unhealthy coping mechanisms associated with PTSD, anxiety, and emotional trauma. It allows the client to channel the healthy "head" knowledge they possess to transform debilitating traumatic memories and the negative beliefs they feel in relation to the incident. This provides rapid and long lasting change in the client.
