The busy holiday season meant we had to postpone our 2025 4th Quarter Celebration and Awards ceremony, but it was definitely worth the wait!

Elisabeth Navarro is one of our valued MA/X-ray technicians who has really SHINED over the past few months. 🤩 She was originally nominated by Dr. Pham, but quickly gained the unanimous vote of ALL of our pediatricians, as well as our management team. Elisabeth was recognized for her commitment as a dedicated member of our RKUC staff and has shown a tremendous amount of growth and accomplishment over the past year.

We couldn’t be more proud of Elisabeth and feel blessed to have her on our team. Please help us congratulate her on this much deserved award! Way to go! 🌟

Jonathan Manuel “aka” Johnny was also one of our original medical assistants brought on at the inception of Rainbow Kids Urgent Care. From day one, Johnny has demonstrated his commitment to providing quality patient care, always with a positive attitude and a smile that reassures our patients and families that they are in good hands.

“Johnny has over 10 years of experience working in urgent care settings, where his guiding motto has always been, ‘Patients always come first.’ He is deeply patient-oriented and takes pride in creating a comfortable, welcoming, and friendly environment for both patients and their families.

Johnny’s passion for healthcare began at a young age. When he was five years old, he helped his mother care for his older brother, who was born with a rare diagnosis that required constant supervision. His brother underwent multiple surgeries and spent much of his childhood at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Being involved in his care inspired him to dedicate his life to helping others.”

Johnny has been mentioned numerous times in our 5 star reviews and is one of the reasons our families list our “staff” as a reason they return for care. Within the first year, her professionalism, organization, and commitment to excellence proved she was a natural choice to help mentor and lead our staff.

It’s not too late to get your family flu shots! Influenza peak season is December-February.

The CA Department of Public Health has released data showing the Bay Area has the highest rate of influenza A in our state. Unfortunately, we are also seeing lots of cases in our local communities as well. While the vaccine doesn’t guarantee you won’t get infected, it greatly reduces the chances of severe illness resulting in hospitalization or even death.

We can help your family get protected against severe complications from the flu. We accept ALL insurances for vaccination. Parents can get shots as well! No appointment necessary.

We are thrilled to announce that highly esteemed Dr. Maria Rasslear-Hendrickson has joined our Rainbow Kids Urgent Care team of physicians!

“Dr. Maria Raslear is an energetic, compassionate, and devoted pediatrician with close to 30 years of experience caring for children across the United States and the globe. Through working in a variety of pediatric practices in Northern California and participating in numerous international medical mission trips to Honduras and Uganda, Dr. Raslear has gained invaluable knowledge and experience that she utilizes every day as a pediatrician.
In the 28 years Dr. Raslear has lived and worked in El Dorado and Sacramento Counties, she has become a cornerstone of the local community. Wherever she has decided to practice, many of her loyal patients have continued to follow her because of her commitment to providing the best quality of care to them.”
