We LOVE when we hear from our families. Parents are BUSY, so when they take the time out of their day to send us an email, we are beyond thankful. This message came with the CUTEST photo attached and we were given permission to share:

Hi all,
I just wanted to say we are so grateful to have such an amazing pediatric urgent care in town. Isabella has seen every single doctor and we have been impressed with all of them. Your doctors and staff are so caring and compassionate. Also, the type of testing available for children is amazing and I have never found an urgent care that could test for so many illnesses at once for littles. I can’t thank you all enough for caring for Isabella. We would never have figured out she has {hidden for patient privacy} if it weren’t for the thorough and thoughtful treatment of your entire team.
Isabella always feels comfortable with all the providers and staff... the snacks and juice are also a plus! Lol.

Introducing the recipient of the 1st Quarter 2026 RKUC Star Employee Award: Hope Alves! Hope is one of our MA/X-ray technicians and joined our team just before the start of a very busy respiratory season. She hit the ground running and quickly proved to our physicians and management team that patient care is her priority. During one of our busiest days with full exam rooms and a packed lobby, Hope initiated a triage station for vitals ensuring better work flow, efficiency, and most importantly, happy families! We are so blessed to have Hope as part of our RKUC family. Much deserved congratulations, Hope! 👏🌟⭐️

We’ve been told by several parents that their kids actually ASK to come to Rainbow Kids when they aren’t feeling well. It’s the ultimate compliment and we couldn’t be more honored.

One way we like to show our appreciation is by offering our kiddos a trinket from our treasure chest of goodies. It’s one last little thing that ensures our young patients leave with a smile.

has generously donated some bracelets and fun keychains for our RKUC patients, not just once, but TWICE. These gifts are extra special because they’re custom made with kids interests in mind.

It’s a fact: All Urgent Cares are NOT created equal. At Rainbow Kids Urgent Care, we specialize in all things “kid”. We have a family friendly lobby, bright and colorful hallway, themed exam rooms, pediatric exam tables, pediatric dosage x-ray machine, books, toys, snacks and more! Our facility is specifically designed to create a warm and welcoming environment for families with kids. Our atmosphere immediately puts our young patients at ease and they feel they’re in a safe space, created just for them.

Most importantly, at RKUC, your child will ALWAYS be seen by a board certified pediatrician, who is specially trained in treating children. Because children are not little adults. We understand that their needs are different and require care specific to those needs. It’s why so many of our local pediatricians refer their patients to us, time and time again.

When we made the decision to start up Rainbow Kids Urgent Care, our hopes were to bring a much needed service for the many deserving families with young children in our community. Never did we imagine how many people would reach out to us to want to support what we’re doing by providing items that help us with patient care.

Janey is one of such people. She’s a local children’s book author that recently published a playful picture book called Wow Wow Lunch for toddlers and preschool-aged children. She generously sent us a copy to keep in our lobby for our young patients to enjoy while awaiting care.

Janey’s generosity extends beyond our waiting room. She also shared that the Kindle version of the book is currently available for free download on Amazon for a limited time. If anyone would like a digital copy, she welcomes you to download it.

Did you know that most of our board certified pediatricians have extensive training beyond general pediatrics??? 🧑🏻‍⚕️👩🏽‍⚕️🥼🩺

✨Dr. Pham and Dr. John both completed 3 years of pediatric critical care fellowships and work as pediatric intensivists in a local Pediatric ICU.

✨Dr. M. Yimer is a board certified pediatric cardiologist and is part of a notable cardiology practice. ❤️

✨Dr. Kathy Yimer also has training beyond her pediatric residency.

And most importantly, all of our pediatricians are also parents! This means our young patients are being cared for by highly qualified experts in the pediatric field. It’s no wonder why so many local pediatricians, physicians, nurses AND OTHER LOCAL URGENT CARES refer their patients to Rainbow Kids! 🌈🏥 It’s also why so many families continue to entrust us with caring for OUR kids.

Today is National Women Physicians Day, a day in which we honor the female doctors for their progress in the profession. The date, February 3rd, symbolizes the birthdate of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to ever receive a medical degree in the United States in 1849.

We are honored to have two inspiring women physicians as a part of our RKUC team of dedicated pediatricians. Dr. Kathy and Dr. Maria: thank you for the impact you make in our community every day!
