The Breaux Family explored the healing benefits of American Elderberry through extensive research, discovering it to be superior to imported, watered-down European varieties. Their journey led them across the U.S. to learn firsthand about this super fruit. In 2016, the Breaux family moved to Folsom, Louisiana, where they renovated their property, overhauled their diet, and embraced holistic living by reducing medications and processed foods. In 2018, they established Cockeyed Farms as Louisiana’s first elderberry farm, later expanding to a second orchard and developing a commercial processing kitchen and apiary. Fully dedicated to organic cultivation, the family produces small-batch elderberry, blueberry, and honey products, proudly certified as Homegrown by Heroes, emphasizing nutrient-dense ingredients and healthy living from their family farm to consumers’ tables.
