January is a season for quiet routines and intentional habits. 🙌🏼

One of our favorites is this simple ritual: warm tea made with our American Elderberry Juice & our American Elderberry Creamed Honey. 🍇

From the Cockeyed Kitchen, January Edition: Winter Wellness Tea. ☕️

Ingredients:
1-2 tablespoons CF American Elderberry Juice
1 teaspoon CF American Elderberry Creamed Honey
8-10 oz hot (not boiling) water
Optional: fresh ginger, lemon slice, cinnamon stick or mint leaf 🍯

Instructions:
Warm water until steaming but not boiling. Stir in juice & honey. Add optional ingredients if desired. Sip slowly & enjoy! 🤤

American elderberry is naturally rich in polyphenols and anthocyanins, compounds studied for their role in immune support and oxidative balance. 💪🏼

Wellness is cumulative. Simplicity makes it sustainable. 💜💛

Our Story

Every new beginning comes from another new beginning’s end. The sudden, unexpected end of an Army aviation career was the birth of this farm and our new venture. With Brandon’s unexplained medical conditions came the beginning of our family’s health journey. We have become passionate about knowing where and how and who our food comes from in addition to searching for the best quality of clean, local, organically/sustainably grown ingredients to include in our diet.

Elderberry is a natural superfood, full of antioxidants and vitamins and it grows wild in the state of Louisiana. Unfortunately, we could not find it organically grown anywhere within our state. When we made this discovery, we decided to become the first Organic Elderberry Farm for commercial production in Louisiana. The process is an ongoing journey and we are excited to share it with you along the way.
