From the client newsletter:

Just One Day Left to SAVE!!

Each year, in honor of my birthday and my favorite season,
I put my gift certificates on sale.

Yesterday, I had a great conversation with one of my regular clients about the seasonal change, honoring our rhythms and why shifting your attention and behaviors can help you stay well. I felt called to share those thoughts with a wider audience, so here is a late-week love drop for you.

Firstly, why do I sell gift certificates on my birthday?

Well, that is easy: I am really thankful for all the love and appreciation
YOU give to me!

Each day I am given the opportunity to receive immense gratitude from my clients. Even if the verbal expression is a simple, it is the noticeable change in you that thanks me the most!

I often witness your relief through more easeful movement, the alleviation of physical discomfort, and increased openness of the mind and emotions. These conditions tell me my work is working!! And that is usually all the thanks I need. It is in the subtleties.

I want to give back by extending a savings.

You can purchase a gift certificate for someone else, or you can use this opportunity to pre-pay for your own sessions.

These Gift Certificates never expire, and they are catalogued in my booking system, so even if the printed copy ends up at the bottom of someone's junk drawer, I will still be able to honor it!

Second, Why honor the Equinox?
Fall is like the New Year to me. Our bodies change in response to nature's rhythms. The energy of our minds change in response to the biological changes. I love to honor the "Winds of Change" that rise in the Fall. In Ayurveda (the Ancient Science of Life) it is a season that is marked by the rising of Vata dosha, which combines air and space (also known as ether). This energy embodies change and movement, and has qualities of spaciousness, coldness, dryness and lightness. It relates to the nervous system and coordinates with breathing and circulation.

Have you noticed yourself moving more? Have you noticed the dryness in the air? Are you feeling ready for a change, or are lots of things changing in your life?

One way to help your body adjust to the changes, is to make some time to have a bodywork session, or a quantum energetic emotional release session.

Fall is also the season of harvest. How is your relationship to the parts of you that have been growing so far this year? What can you release now to make space for new growth in the spring? How can you cultivate stillness and inward vision over the winter before you begin the cycle again after the new year?

I have the skills, the desire and the presence to aid in the process of release and growth, whether on a physical level, or an emotional, spiritual or mental level.

Just one more day to take advantage of the 15% off.

I have been stewing on these thoughts for a while.. apropos, I feel to create a post about it today - the new moon & solar eclipse in Virgo, Saturn in Pisces, pre-Equinox and just 2 days after my birthday.

Dharma is sanskrit and does not have a clearly defined direct translation in English. It is described in early Vedic texts as laws that bring order to a universe that would otherwise be in chaos. It is also known as actions most conducive to maintaining a family, community and society. It is the *holistic* pursuit of right action from which the other goals of life arise - material security (artha), material happiness (k**a), and spiritual liberation (moksha). As I understand it, dharma is personal, unique to each person. And a person may have several "purposes" in life, such as in my case - a mother, and a naturopath, and a daughter, etc. Sometimes, while it is dharmic to serve clients with my inherent gifts, it is necessary to make a choice to *serve the greater* good by attending to the needs of my children or caring for my mother.

Avodah: a Hebrew word that is used to describe both "work" and "worship". After listening to a beautiful teaching by a Jewish man in a non-denominational Christian church, my thoughts zoomed in on my earlier ponderances regarding Dharma, and it clicked that my work is worship, and to worship is my work. It is believed that through acts of Avodah, one can help bring about a more just and harmonious society.

Because of the quite healing and spiritual journey I have been on in the recent past, I have a recently-renewed sense of devotion, especially in my work. If anyone had told me 5 years ago that I would be praying with my clients in session for complete healing of their body, mind, heart and soul... I might have been very skeptical. In fact, I briefly abandoned a goal to become a Certified CARE Instructor because the curriculum, administered by the Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education, is secular and I strongly doubted I had the faith and strength to administer such a curriculum. But looking back, I knew I might be approaching a new level of depth in my work. If you have been on the receiving end of my attention as a client - for a massage session, a custom herbal formula, a guided meditation, or the production or facilitation of an event, such as an herb class, women's retreat or holistic workshop - you may already have an idea of what I am getting at. My work is my ministry, and I strive to serve my brothers and sisters, as well as God in all that I do.

"Let my life be a song, revealing who you are."

Upcoming Holistic Events you don't want to miss...

{READ TO THE END for Important Updates and Opportunities}

My good friend and astrologer Maria Shaw says September is about letting go of things that no longer serve you, so you can achieve a healthier life. The New Moon with a solar eclipse at the time of the fall equinox on September 21, calls for us to free ourselves from emotional and spiritual baggage so we can grow and heal. Are you paying attention??

The events listed below are an incredible way to raise our vital energy and facilitate the release of stagnant and suppressed blockages... or come have a session to help with integration!

The community is strong, and the love unlimited.

September 19 (my birthday) at 7pm
at Your Nature Care Holistic Center

Chanting kirtans and bhajans is a joyful practice that nourishes both body and spirit. The repetition of certain sounds calms the nervous system, eases stress, and uplifts the heart, while singing in community releases tension and fosters connection.

Experience the uplifting power of sacred sound with Sri Yantra, a new local mantra band sharing original kirtans and bhajans. This devotional chant night is an invitation to open your heart, quiet the mind, and connect through the timeless practice of call-and-response mantra. Whether you are new to chanting or a longtime practitioner, you’ll be welcomed into a joyful community of music, meditation, and devotion. Come sing, listen, and let the vibrations carry you into stillness and bliss.

Reserve your seat with a minimum suggested love offering of $25, or more if you feel led to share your abundance with these talented musicians.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19 at 7pm

Sri Yantra is a devotional chant project founded by singer and multi-instrumentalist Joe Waguespack, blending the ancient power of mantra with raw modern soundscapes. Once a rock musician, Joe’s path shifted toward the sacred after becoming a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda and immersing himself in the practice of Kriya Yoga.

Sri Yantra creates immersive experiences that invite audiences into deep meditation, ecstatic chant, and heart-centered connection. With soulful vocals, sacred instrumentation, and a fusion of East and West, Sri Yantra’s music is both grounding and transcendental. Each gathering with Sri Yantra is an experience of meditation, ecstatic chant, and spiritual communion, inviting listeners to awaken the heart and expand into stillness and joy.

Even though it is not technically summer yet, I am in full summer mode... and patiently awaiting the solstice!!

We just wrapped up the BEST Bloom Women's Retreat we have ever done. My kids are out of school. Herb harvests have slowed a bit. I have been to the river and the sun is turning my skin brown. I am awaiting my first tomatoes from the garden.... and my appointment book is looking sparse.

Each summer, many of my clients get busy with travel and social activity and their appointments tend to get a little spaced out. It's all good - that's life!! This means I have some openings if you are in need of a session and it has been a while since we have seen each other, take a peek and see if any of my availability works for you.

Beginning this month, I will be donating 10% of my profits each month to a local charitable organization and spotlighting the amazing work these folks do in the community. I will highlight these organizations and share about them in a monthly newsletter, so stay tuned!

First up is a cause near and dear to my family: TECH robotics. This is the non-profit arm of the STEM and Robotics Center in Covington, Louisiana.

I first walked into the "Center" in August of 2023, when the hard time my family was going through was about to get even harder. I went because I thought my boys would learn something new, make new friends, practice being good teammates, and get their minds off the unsteady ground we were all standing on. Let me tell you... so much more than that has happened because of our involvement with the camps, classes and competition teams at the STEM and Robotics Center. The experience and connections here have been downright healing and are now an integral part of our lives. In a few weeks my family will travel to Florida to support my 14 year old son who is participating in an International First Lego League competition. All of the donations will support this journey.

You can learn more about them here:

Thanks for reading my personal note, and for your consideration in supporting my small business and the others in our community, who's work is changing lives for the better.

Our Story

Kelly McGee is a northern transplant (originally from Lancaster, Ohio) who has been living in Louisiana for 15 years. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Reiki Master & Teacher, an herbalist, and mother to 4 young children. She has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a deep passion for sharing her knowledge and skills, and loves to empowering others in their journey to wellness. She strives to live in balance - to spend as much time playing as she does working, and as much time learning as she does creating.

She has been a licensed Massage Therapist since 2000, and has most recently been a proprietor of a wellness center in Covington, Louisiana. Her work style varies widely from regular therapeutic massage to support athletes, to energy healing sessions to aid clients who suffer from chronic pain, to providing chair massage at events and corporate offices. She has worked as a Massage Therapy Instructor at Delgado Community College from 2009-2012. Her Reiki studies began in Ohio in 2001, and she went on to achieve Karuna Reiki Mastership in 2008. She teaches Reiki regularly and plans to attain Continuing Education Provider status from the Louisiana Board of Massage this year.

She began annual trips to the Women's Herbal Conference and the Black Mountain Herbal Conference in 2006, gathering as much information as possible from renown teachers Mary Bove, Rosita Arvigo, Rosemary Gladstar, Susun W**d, Matthew Wood, David Winston and Paul Bergner to name a few. She studied Health Arts and Sciences for one year at Goddard College in VT in 2008, when her motherhood journey began. For over a decade, she has mentored on the herbs of the Gulf South with Darrell Martin of Blue Boy Herbs and most recently has studied Naturopathy with Dr. Betty Sue O’Brian, ND at the Southern Institute of Natural Health.
