This might be the hardest thing I ever ask this girl to do!! Balancing on an unstable surface on one foot for ankle strengthening-my idea. Striking a flamingo pose while doing it-her idea!😊You can’t see my other arm very well, but I’m not helping her at all for several seconds!! Very challenging, but she continues to push me to come up with more challenging activities because of the great progress she is making!

Summer therapy has begun! This little guy always brings the smiles and the fun! This activity addresses so many things:strength, dynamic balance, motor planning, coordination, single leg stance. Looking forward to watching him grow and progress this summer! Glad to have you back, buddy!!

This little girl never ceases to impress me… with the way she always tries her best even after a full day of school, with the progress she has made with her motor skills, with her ability to remind me why I became a physical therapist in the 1st place.
I could not love her and my time with her more!
She has come so far and with her determination, the possibilities are endless.💕

Jumping works on so many things: balance, strength, motor planning, ankle stability, coordination. Jumping down, jumping forward, jumping over or up onto a surface are all fun ways to incorporate jumping into play. Try setting up a small obstacle course at home that involves different jumping activities using items you have around the house.
This little girl continues to impress all who know her and how far she’s come! She always brings the energy and tonight was no different!

Hey there! Hope everyone’s 2025 is off to a good start! If you had a baby in 2024, congratulations!! Always such a precious gift!
Now that the holidays are over and things have hopefully settled down some, you may have some questions about your child’s motor development. Maybe they only look to one side, aren’t able to tolerate tummy time, or aren’t meeting their motor milestones as you expected.

If you are looking for private pediatric PT for your child, but are concerned about the cost, let’s talk! Some insurance companies will provide partial reimbursement to parents when using out of network providers.
