🏅 With the Winter Olympics going on right now, we couldn’t wait to bring the spirit of the games to the woods next week.

At Winter Olympics, our TimberNook drop off program for children ages 7–12, the kids will have the opportunity to create and play in their very own winter games—designed by them, inspired by nature. Using loose parts we provide and natural materials they discover in the woods, kids will imagine, build, test, and refine creative challenges that invite big movement, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Think snow-built courses, balance challenges between trees, invented competitions, and lots of laughter as ideas come to life. There are no medals here—just creativity, collaboration, resilience, and the joy of child-led play outdoors.

As athletes around the world compete in the Winter Olympics, your child can experience the excitement also—in a way that’s meaningful, hands-on, and unforgettable.

💌✨ Valentine’s Day Post Office in the Woods ✨💌

Snowy trails, tiny mittens, and the soft crunch of winter underfoot… the forest is opening its very own Valentine’s Day Post Office 💗❄️

On February 7, our youngest woodland workers will become postal helpers—creating handmade valentines and special mail for friends, delivering love through the trees, and discovering the quiet magic of winter play in the woods 🌲💌

This caregiver-and-child experience invites littles to slow down, create, imagine, and connect while surrounded by snow-covered beauty and open-ended play.

BRRR ❄️ Today feels like the perfect day to start thinking about summer…

❄️ 🎨 On a quiet, snowy day in the Wisconsin woods, our Tiny Ones explored art the TimberNook way—painting fresh snow, with flowers, and whatever else the forest offered like pine cones. Between brushstrokes, little bodies slid down snowy hills, tasted fresh snow, and followed their own curiosity through the trees.

This is early childhood at its best: sensory-rich, child-led, and deeply peaceful. When toddlers are given time, space, and nature, creativity and wonder naturally unfold.
