Today we celebrate and the incredible ! At United Way of Wisconsin, we know it’s the people, providers, and programs that help rural communities thrive.

We’re proud to partner with Great Rivers United Way, Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, and Milwaukee Area Health Education Center on a workforce development project aimed at increasing the number of Community Health Workers (CHWs) across the state.

✅ 120+ CHW trainees with rural residential backgrounds
✅ 40+ trainees working for organizations in rural areas

These numbers reflect the hard work being done in rural communities, and beyond, to build healthier, stronger Wisconsin communities!
