We’re all guessing when it comes to fertilizer, and guessing is expensive.

The old way of soil sampling is broken. Standard grid tests only capture the Extractable Pool in one frozen moment in time. It’s like stopping a river to take a picture. But soil doesn’t stand still – it’s tying up, mineralizing, and releasing nutrients constantly.

What we really need to measure is the Plant Available Pool and its key driver, mineralization. It’s alive, it’s flowing, and it’s different on your hilltops than your sidehills and bottoms.

Heavy rates of Nitrogen can cause oat plants to lodge... but how do you explain sections falling over when the whole field got the same amount of fertilizer?
