Kaiser Permanente Internal Medicine Residency Fontana A 3-year Internal Medicine Residency accredited by the ACGME in January of 2012, our program's excellent training will prepare you for practice in any setting.

Graduates are well trained to move on to fellowship, ambulatory or hospitalist careers. The Internal Medicine Training Program at Fontana is
designed to provide broad-based clinical training with an emphasis on patient-centered, team-based medicine. During their three years, house staff will spend 45 percent of their time in our ambulatory program. The Resident Ambulatory Care Center offers cuttin

g-edge training in primary care. In this clinic, residents participate in weekly didactics and provide longitudinal care to their assigned panel of patients. Residents rotate through each of the major subspecialties and have opportunities to spend time do research, learn sleep medicine and learn perioperative care. The program's excellent training will prepare you for
practice in any setting. Graduates will be well trained to progress to careers in ambulatory or hospital medicine or to pursue fellowship training. Historically, 50% of Southern California Kaiser Permanente graduates have entered competitive sub-specialty fellowships. Kaiser Permanente senior residents have been very marketable and highly recruited upon graduation by universities, private practices and Kaiser Permanente.
