KD Support Services We operate eight licensed residential locations for adults with IDD and MH issues. We also offer AFL and supported living placements.

After hours number (828) 443-8281. With almost 30 years experience in residential healthcare, we strive to provide the highest quality care possible to our persons served. We are dedicated to helping each of our persons served maximize their abilities and independence by providing person centered care with compassion and understanding. We pride ourselves on thinking outside the box and finding ways to creatively meet the needs of the people we serve.

Congratulations to our staff. We had five annual inspections done by NCDHSR today and yesterday. Most we have ever had done concurrently and no citations at any of the five locations!! You guys are great and I am so proud of all of your hard work and dedication!

It is with a heavy heart that we mark the passing of Greg Swofford. Greg has been a huge part of the KD Support family for over 12 years. The number of lives he has touched during this time is beyond measure. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this trying time. Greg will be loved and remembered long after today by all those whose lives he has touched and brightened.

It is with much sadness that KDSS notes the passing of a longterm member of the KD Support family. Penny Edwards, aka Aunt Penny, was a fixture at the KDSS office for years. Her dedication and never ending desire to be busy and help is impossible to replace. Please pray for her sons, Jamey and Chad, their families, her sisters Diane, Debbie, and Bobbie along with her neices and nephews all of whom will miss her greatly. To say she will be missed does not do justice to the loss endured by those who knew and loved her. But, there is comfort in knowing that she is most certainly in a better place.
