With significant changes coming to Medicare Part D plans in 2025, many of you may see notable premium increases. One major update is that Aetna’s SilverScript SmartSaver PDP, a popular choice, will be discontinued nationwide. Patients enrolled in this plan will be automatically crosswalked to the Aetna SilverScript Choice plan, where monthly average premiums will rise from $18.60 to $44.19—a $26 increase.

Check out your plan before it is too late to change.

Are you on a Wellcare plan for Medicare? If so please pay attention to this announcement found on their website.

If you are currently enrolled in a Wellcare prescription drug plan and take any of these medications: Farxiga, Januvia, Ozempic, Jardiance, Mounjaro, Trulicity or Rybelsus, please note the following:

Starting January 1, 2025, these medications are moving from a Tier 6 to a Tier 3.
You will now have a co-insurance for these medications, meaning you will be responsible for a percentage of the cost of these medications, which may result in an increase in the amount you pay.
