What a great event. . . Churchill Community Day held in own our front yard! We were there this past Saturday, welcoming community members. Kudos to the Churchill Recreation Board for planning and orchestrating a very fun and well-organized event! , ,

Part of this volunteer group, was our Human Resources staff who participating in cooking dinner at the Family House Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Human Resources Association - PHRA volunteered to make this meal for patients and families that have traveled and who stay here to receive our area's exceptional medical care. What a great cause and what a great group of volunteers! , , ❤️

While the sun is still shining, it's a good time to share this resource about PA's SUN Bucks EBT Program! SUN Bucks, Pennsylvania’s Summer EBT program, is a new grocery benefits program that provides households with a one-time payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy food while school is out. You guessed it . . .On this last day of ESY, it was water day and outdoor games. Students had a great time! There were all kinds of "cool" ways to experience the water. . . there were target games, ski ball and more. One student got a bull's eye on the first throw! Colors that pop and designs that rock! One of the activities during ESY is tie-dye when the students have an opportunity to unleash their inner artist. Its a joy seeing what they can create. , ,

Yesterday, we had a special visitor from the Wineman Farm Outreach. Maverick the rooster is part of the farm's Funny Farm Therapy Team. Our ESY students enjoyed learning about these animals and of course giving him some treats! , ,

Mosaic Art involves creating images or patterns using pieces of materials adhered to a surface. During ESY a creative project is starting with students beginning to learn on a small scale what mosaic is and how do we create one. In collaboration with mosaic artist, Elizabeth Klevens, our art teacher, Ms. George, will be teaching and guiding students to create a larger mosaic art piece. . . more to come throughout the 2025-26 school year! , ,
