Our hearts are heavy as we grieve the tragic loss of a Fairview Lakes security guard, Andrea Merrel who was killed on Christmas Day while doing their job—protecting others. This devastating act has shaken the entire healthcare and frontline community, and our thoughts are with their family, loved ones, and colleagues during this unimaginable time.

Moments like this remind us how deeply interconnected we are, and how vital it is to surround one another with care, compassion, and support—especially in the aftermath of trauma and loss.
