Flu cases continue to climb nationwide, and health experts are encouraging everyone to stay protected as we move through the holiday season.

📊 Current Snapshot:
• Positive flu tests up 5%
• 3,264 hospitalizations last week
• 1.1 million illnesses so far this season
• Most cases are Influenza A (H3N2)

🦠 Why It Matters:
A new H3N2 variant (“subclade K”) is spreading more easily, and countries like Australia and the U.K. have already seen unusually intense flu seasons.

💉 Flu Shot Reminder:
This year’s vaccine still offers strong protection—especially against severe illness.
It takes about 2 weeks to build immunity.
