We celebrated 10 wonderful years at Amira Choice Forest Lake in August and Scherer Photo Co. took some wonderful photos for us! 🎈

We stepped back in time with a fun 50s-themed anniversary party — think poodle skirts, jukebox tunes, and classic diner vibes! 🎶

We had such a fun time at our "Make Your Dreams Come True" event at Amira Choice Forest Lake! One of our residents had always wanted to visit Nova Scotia, so we enjoyed a virtual tour of its astounding beauty, complete with poutine fries, Caesar drinks (Canada's Bloody Mary), and soft maple candies shipped straight from Canada!

It was the perfect way to explore the sights and flavors of our friendly neighbors to the north — without leaving home! 🇨🇦

☕🍁 Coffee, Conversation, and Community! 🍁☕ Our residents enjoyed a cozy outing to Dunn Brothers Coffee, where we sampled some delicious seasonal favorites — from iced pumpkin spice lattes to hot caramel apple lattes! The laughter, stories, and smiles shared over a cup of coffee remind us that each day is truly a gift together. ❤️

Today, Amanda, our Life Enrichment Director and Melissa, Dimensions Manager, attended the “Recognize, Relate, Respond: Dementia in Community Care Workshop.” The keynote speaker, neuropsychologist Terry R. Barclay, PhD, LP, shared such incredible knowledge about dementia and brain health.

The workshop was motivating, inspiring, and filled with valuable takeaways that will help us continue to support those we serve with compassion and understanding. 💜

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating Coffee with a Cop Day with our local Forest Lake law enforcement! It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee together, ask questions, and connect on a more personal level with those who keep our community safe.

We asked questions like:

* What inspired you to go into law enforcement?

* What skills do you think are most important for officers today?

* If you could change one misconception people have about police work, what would it be?

We are grateful for their dedication and the chance to build stronger relationships—one conversation (and one cup of coffee!) at a time. 💙

We recently took a little trip back in time with a visit to the Gammelgården Museum in Scandia for a resident's "Make Your Dreams Come True" event (she wanted to visit Sweden!).

We explored the beautiful historic buildings, learned about early Swedish immigrant life, and soaked in the charm of this special place. It truly felt like stepping into history.

If you haven’t been, it’s such a unique way to spend an afternoon—peaceful, educational, and full of character. 🇸🇪❤️

🌱🍅 Today was a fresh adventure! We picked basil straight from our garden, learned how to make pesto for the very first time, and topped it off with juicy garden tomatoes. None of us had ever made fresh pesto before- it was a delicious lesson in life-long learning. 💚✨ Sometimes the simplest experiences, like gathering from the garden and creating something together, make the sweetest memories.
