Health tip of the day. When you’re getting your blood drawn, don’t keep pumping your fist, especially with the tourniquet on. Your results, especially potassium, could be affected from the constant contraction of the muscles or can cause your red blood cells to break down. This can lead to misdiagnosis which can cause a domino effect of other health issues and more unnecessary testing that could run your tab up!
There are other ways to get your veins to really stick out such as applying heat but no more pumping your fist! It is ok to advocate for yourself!
