October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers diagnosed among women in the United States. Each year, tens of thousands of lives are saved thanks to early detection, increased awareness, and improved treatments.

About 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, while approximately 1% of breast cancer cases occur in men.

Mammograms can detect breast cancer early. If you’re 40 or older, or have a family history of breast cancer, talk to your healthcare provider about the right screening schedule for you.

All of our health insurance plans cover screening mammograms. Check with your healthcare provider or insurance carrier to confirm your coverage details.
