Beacon Pediatric Therapy Services is seeking a clinic assistant for Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3-7pm.

The position includes greeting and checking in families for therapy appointments, answering phones, communicating with director/staff and assisting with cleaning as well as managing of therapy equipment.

Must be a high school graduate and interest in the therapy field or experience as a front desk receptionist.

Research consistently shows that play is one of the most effective ways for young children to learn. In fact, studies suggest that kids often gain more from guided play than from traditional teacher-led lessons.

A Cambridge University study found that “a play-focused approach to learning—where children explore at their own pace—can be just as effective as teacher-led instruction in developing literacy, numeracy, and thinking skills. For certain math concepts, guided play was even more effective, particularly up to about age eight.”

For many neurodivergent children, incorporating movement into play can also improve listening and attention.

Here are some fun, play-based activities that strengthen active listening skills-while also building:
-Planning
-Organization
-Cooperation
- Emotional regulation
-Language
-Math
-Social skills

From late-night feedings to postpartum recovery and everything in between, we’re here to support you 🫶🏻

📆 First two meetings:
• November 17th & December 15th
• Then, the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month thereafter (*modifications to be made as needed)
