📌 Sensory Integration: Red Flags & When to Seek Help

Kids experience the world differently — and sometimes behaviors are a clue that they need extra support. Here are a just few things to keep an eye out for:

🔸 Over- or under-reacting to sounds, lights, textures, movement
🔸 Avoidance of messy play, refusing certain fabrics or foods
🔸 Constantly seeking intense sensory input (spinning, crashing)
🔸 Frequent trips, poor coordination, difficulty with fine motor tasks
🔸 Trouble transitioning, self-regulating, or calming down

If you see several of these signs, consider consulting a pediatric occupational therapist or developmental specialist. Early support can help your child thrive. 💡

2025 has been an incredible year of growth for Beacon. We moved from a rented 1000 square foot space to purchasing a 2400 square foot office. This has allowed us to fully serve the families in our community. This year we had a number staff and therapists join our amazing team and some who celebrated anniversaries. We were voted #2 as Top Choice for Pediatric Clinic in Ocean County and celebrated together as a team. We are so grateful for the trust you have put in our team to help your children flourish! We cannot wait to see what 2026 brings 🎉
